week ending 10/5/09.
Monday 6 Wheatear near Lamorna Point, Painted Lady butterfly on the wing Jay top of the lane.
Tuesday, Swift at Treverven first i have seen this year.
Sunday, today was the day for the walk to help Peggy raise money for her ride to Paris raising funds for the Cornish hospices. The weather was good and around 20 people walked from The Wink carpark to Carn Barges and back along the coast path to the cove and then up through the woods. Not a lot seen on the birdfront just the usual things for the time of year but 1 Whimbrel was welcome. A Seal was seen along the rocks.
The wildflowers were on the whole at their best but some are now begining to go over.
The walk lasted around 2 hours and everybody seemed to enjoy it.

another thank you for doing the walk and for putting it on your blog. Everyone especially me, really enjoyed it - I've had lots of appreciative emails and phone calls.

PPS I'd love to see a Red Kite again do you know where they are? I saw two in South Wales years ago.
